Parampara is the Sanskrit word for ‘tradition’ or ‘continuation.
In the traditional residential form of education, the shishya remains with his or her guru as a family member and gets the education as a true learner. It is the tradition of spiritual relationship and mentoring where teachings are transmitted from a guru "teacher" to a shishya "disciple".
Daughter and disciple of Odissi maestro Guru Harekrishna Behera, Kavita Dwibedi is one of the leading exponents of Odissi dance in India today. A dancer of vision and versatility, Kavita is known for her superb abhinaya and for its complete dedication to the Odissi with a traditional and innovative approach to this wonderful dance form from Orissa.
Guru Kavita Dwibedi's student Premal Madina is presenting "Guru Parampara " in Latvia . Along with guru you `ll see on the stage her students from Latvia and Lithuania.
After the concert you will have the appartunity to meet the performers in the friendly atmosphere of Dance & Meditation centre with tea and snacks.
